Robert De Niro Hurls Expletives at Donald Trump on ‘The View’

Award-winning actor Robert De Niro did not mince his words when launching into an expletive-laced attack of former president Donald Trump during Tuesday’s episode of “The View.”

De Niro, who’s often critical of Trump, has previously called the former president a “gangster” and “crazy.” Trump has fired back, calling De Niro a “total loser.”

After being asked about his message to voters during his appearance on the popular ABC talk show, De Niro urged them to pay attention to Trump’s words.

“I don’t understand why people are not taking him seriously, because you read about it historically in other countries that they didn’t take the people seriously. I think of Hitler [and] Mussolini,” De Niro said.

De Niro said he thinks Trump will follow through with campaign promises.

“Who does not think that this guy is going to do exactly what he says he’s going to do. He’s done it already,” De Niro said.

While talking about how Trump getting re-elected will impact all Americans, De Niro said “pardon my French” before the actor’s audio was bleeped out. The profanity-laced comment received applause from the studio audience.

De Niro also said Trump’s supporters will continue to support him with “anger and hate, because that’s what he’s about.”

“I see what a hateful, mean-spirited awful thing he is,” De Niro said.

“The View” host Joy Behar brought up how Trump has made fun of people with disabilities and soldiers in the military.

“He’s done everything, what more do you need?” De Niro said.

De Niro was bleeped again when talking about how he believes Trump is trying to do the “worst that he could possibly do.”

“He projects what he’s saying. It’s what he wants, what he envisions the world to be, which is chaos and craziness, total craziness,” De Niro said.

De Niro did take a break from his political ranting to talk about his new movie “Ezra.” The film is about a struggling stand-up comedian living with his father, played by De Niro, and co-parenting his autistic son with his ex-wife.

The actor who plays Ezra, William Fitzgerald, is a 15-year-old with autism who has no prior acting experience. De Niro spoke about his bond with Fitzgerald.

“He’s just a nice kid, very open and easy to relate to,” De Niro said.

De Niro said he was unsure if he wanted to do the movie at first, but he liked the “heart” of the movie and he could relate to it since he has a son with autism.
