Stormy Daniels compares Trump supporters to suicide bombers in The View appearance

Porn star Stormy Daniels compared supporters of former President Donald Trump, specifically the supporters who harass her, to suicide bombers.

Daniels discussed how she was greatly criticized by Trump supporters when she first spoke out against the former president, noting how the number of people who harass her has gone down since then. However, she added that those still going after her have acted “worse” and are no longer hiding.

“I said to some interviewer somewhere, I believe, that they’re more like suicide bombers this time around, where they honestly, truly believe that they are being patriotic and that I am, like, the devil,” Daniels said in an interview with The View.

Daniels’s comment comes as the former president is scheduled to have his hush money criminal trial next month, which relates to the 34 counts of business fraud Trump is facing. Trump had made a bid to block Daniels and Michael Cohen, his former attorney, from giving their testimonies in the trial, though the bid was denied.

The View co-host Sunny Hostin asked Daniels if she would be ready to take the stand against Trump, to which Daniels said, “Absolutely.”

“I’m hoping with all of my heart that they call me because, as I showed on the stand against Michael Avenatti, I don’t need someone to speak for me, and I relish the day that I get to face him and speak my truth,” Daniels said.

Trump’s hush money trial was originally scheduled to take place this coming Monday, though the trial has since been delayed to mid-April. Trump’s lawyers initially requested a 90-day delay after they were given thousands of pages of new documents from federal prosecutors, but Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg said he and his team of prosecutors were OK with a 30-day delay instead.

The new trial date will be set during a hearing scheduled for March 25.
